We are partnered with a leading bespoke contractor in their search for an experienced Quantity Surveyor. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality solutions, they are expanding their team and seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join them. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to challenging projects that make a significant impact on safety and protection across the UK and Europe construction industry. Our client specialises in the delivery of Fire Stopping and Fire Protection projects across the UK and Europe.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the cost aspects of projects. You will work closely with wider commercial team, project teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure the successful financial delivery of projects, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for large-scale projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate and timely financial information, ensuring effective decision-making.
- Evaluate and negotiate supplier and subcontractor contracts to secure cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor project costs, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, forecasts, and budget updates to project stakeholders.
- Work closely with clients to address any financial queries and maintain positive relationships.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quantity surveying.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe as required.
