Role Overview:
As a Bid Writer, you will play a crucial role within the business development team, responsible for producing clear, persuasive, and winning bids and proposals. You will collaborate closely with various departments to gather information, develop strategies, and ensure that submissions are of the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Preparation: Create high-quality, tailored bids and proposals that align with client requirements and company capabilities.
- Content Development: Research and develop content that highlights our expertise, experience, and unique selling points.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit bid documents to ensure clarity, coherence, and compliance with client specifications.
- Deadline Management: Manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyse feedback from previous bids to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience: Bid writing experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction terminology, processes, and industry standards.
- Education: Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with bid management software.
- Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Organisational Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
